Rahua Voluminous: An Organic Shampoo That Still Feels Luxurious

My hair is my most neglected asset. Other than the occasional highlights, my routine consists of washing, air-drying and maybe the occasional salt spray. But, I have thin hair that's on the oily side and super flat so I really shouldn't ignore it like I do. It was in desperate need of a pick-me-up that made my hair look better but wouldn't require me to add any additional maintenance (because 1. lazy 2. who has time?!)

Enter Rahua (pronounced rah-wah) Voluminous Shampoo

Formulated with 100% natural, plant-derived ingredients sustainably sourced from the Amazon rainforest, the shampoo creates body and bounce, while thoroughly cleansing and clarifying the hair. Sans the drying effects that many volumizing shampoos have.

The subtle scents of soothing lavender and eucalyptus have a calming, almost aromatherapeutic effect while shampooing, which is a nice treat. The citric juices help to break down excess oils in the hair, helping to extend the time between washes so you can release your inner French girl. The addition of lemongrass and green tea create that body and bounce; my hair felt more lifted after the first use. The super rainforest-grown rahua-ungurahua nut oil (which is super-rich with omega-9) restores, heals and strengthens the hair follicles and shaft resulting in noticeably stronger + healthier hair. Plus, it's safe for color-treated hair.

Thanks to this bad boy, my routine has stayed the exact same but now my hair actually has some life to it. I'm on my way to Becky-with-the-good-hair status and I didn't have to do a damn thing.

If you're new to the organic shampoo game, note that it does not lather like its chemical-laden competitors. This is because it is absent of the chemical foaming agents, especially sulfates, that are only present in our shampoos because we as consumers associate thick and foamy with ultra-clean hair. Only these chemicals, which are essentially detergents (gross), can produce the sea of foam so if it foams, don't take it home.
